3 Star Simbra

CHD0050, dam of Marnel Spikkels who is currently a Simbra Taurus bull, she is in our embryo flushing program and we also use one of her sons in our breeding program Stan (MZ09002), which was presented on our 2011 production sale.

MZ0910 is a son of DM01120C and also a half brother of the famous Fanie, MZ087. His sire is MZ05002 (one of our AI bulls), we currently use MZ0910 in our breeding program. He will be for sale on our next production sale in 2012.

A true living legend, dam of Marnel Fanie MZ078, our main stud sire. We are also using one of her previous bull calves in our breeding program (MZ0910), she is also in our embryo flushing program, she breeds exceptionally.

3 Star Simbra is a young stud that originated in 2008. The name "3 Star" was born from the idea that 3 star cows in the Simbra breed are the cream of the crop - from there the name "3 Star Simbra". Our goal is to breed with the cream of the Simbra industry for years to come.

3 Star Simbra is run as an extensive stud with specific emphasis on BLUP, fertility, functional efficiency and structurally correct animals. None of our animals are pampered and what you see is what you get.

We have spared no expense in procuring some of the best female breeding animals all through the country, such as the whole Driekraal herd of Gerrit Potgieter as well as the hart of Maritz Wolfvaardt's Marnel herd. The 3 Star Simbra herd currently consists of 411 animals, with our goal being to have 1000 stud cows.
